I've always got my ear to the ground listening out for new tips and titbits relating to ways I can build up my future vintage empire (!!) and so I was delighted to find this article by the Daily Mail on how to collect vintage jewellery. With advice on finding hidden gems and how to discern the era of a particular piece - I found it rather enlightening.
Best of all is that I now know there is a ma-hoo-sive flea market in Lille, France, which during the first weekend of September is descended upon by 2 million stallholders (city takeover) and there is "a vast amount of vintage jewellery to be bought at bargain prices"
