Banana Bread

This blog is still a baby and really, it is about our life and things I love which includes baking! So, you may start to see some recipes and cooking posts occasionally! Banana bread is one of those things that we both used to LOVE growing up. My husband's mom used to make it for him and my mom for me, and they both always did it the same way.. full of chocolate chips. So, of course, there is no other way for us! This recipe is the same one I have always used and we love it. Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 3 bananas (when we have extras we don't eat we put them in the freezer and use those) 1 tablespoon milk 1 teaspoon cinnamon (I want to try using pumpkin pie spice too) 1/2 cup softened butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 big cup semi-sweet chocolate chips1 cup semisweet chocolate chips Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan, or two smaller ones, or muffins, whichever you prefer. BOWL 1 - Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt BOWL 2 - Bananas, milk, cinnamon - mix until smooth BOWL 3 - Beat butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add the eggs and beat until smooth again. Stir banana bowl into the butter bowl. Slowly add flour to the banana/butter bowl. Once your have a smooth mixture gently add in your chocolate chips! Pour mix into prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean, about 70-80 minutes (for a 9 x 5 glass pan, adjust according to your pan or muffins). Let cool for about 10 minutes and enjoy!! I would love to hear what you think about getting recipes on my blog - yay or nay?! xo Angela
