One of the few collections I have is vintage biscuit tins. The shapes, colors, and patterns just draw me in. There are two reasons why they are perfect items for me to collect: 1) They are unbreakable, and 2) They are fairly cheap. I have never been one who's interested in collecting fragile, expensive knickknacks.
I purchased my biscuit tins for just a couple dollars each at yard sales and thrift stores. Most (if not all) of them were made in England, and originally held English tea cookies. Very recently, I decided to hang two shelves on my bedroom wall so that I'd have a place to display my small collection. I really enjoy being able to look at them, especially in the morning light.
