Monterey, CA, Lover's point

After we left Hearst Castle we drove through Big Sur to get to Monterey, which is such a special place to us. It's where Blake proposed to me! I was hoping to stop and hike at Big Sur on the way, but the few hours we spent driving that section of Highway 1 it was pouring outside! Like, barely see the car ahead of you pouring, which was actually a little nerve-wracking because the road is right on the edge of a cliff on one side and backs up to a mountain on the other side and the rain kept washing rocks down into the road! It was still a little drizzly when we got to Monterey so after getting settled in to our hotel we just went and walked the shops. The next morning the weather completely turned around giving us a beautiful, crisp, bright morning! We spent the morning visiting a few of the same stops we did the day Blake asked me to marry him. We had breakfast at our little crepe shop on the fisherman's wharf. They have the very best crepes and we sat outside and watched the boats sail out and listened to the barking sea lions. For some reason, those sea lions are the funniest thing to me! They push each other off the dock and then bark and climb back on all over each other. I was in laughter all morning from those guys! Then we took it back to the same spot where Blake popped the question! Its called "Lover's Point" and its breathtaking! We watched the ocean go out and come crashing back in over and over again. It felt like yesterday that we had been there before. It was so amazing. I want to go back again and again.
