A Vintage Crate   +  TIME

festive market mayhem

Have just been to the wonderful Greenwich Christmas market. I go every year and love all the fantastic independant stalls selling everything from Himalayan handmade hats to beer bottle clocks to marble printed coasters. Its the best place for that unique Christmas present and a great place to grab a tasty bite to eat. I managed a generous portion of Paella while my other-not-so-patient-half demolished a very spicy goat curry.

These were a few of my favourite stalls....

Katy Ray - http://www.katyray.co.uk/ - Offering a beautiful selection of hand printed cushions, lampshades, ceramics and gift items inspired by vintage and natural themes. Every piece is hand crafted and unique made only using the finest materials and fabrics.

Jessamy - jessamyshop@googlemail.com - A beautiful mix of printed products from bags to cushions to vintage printed badges, and my favourites - vintage printed mirrors in their own co-ordinating printed pouches (mr. impatient was nowhere to be seen at this point!)

Sweet William - http://www.sweetwilliamdesigns.com/ - Heart Warming Ceramics. With a gorgeous nostalgic feel, these cups, mugs, vintage inspired box frames, tea sets and 'mutts' range (with its own mascot - William 'top dog' of the company) Sweet William are one of my favourite new independant retailers. Established only last year by ex-city girl Emma Wood, this is a great place for that special gift....I couldn't resist a mug for Mum.

Anitique Teacup Candles - http://www.antiqueteacupcandles.co.uk/ - Completely ecological, this beautiful company only uses antique receptacles with candles made of 100% soya wax and organic essential oils (these won't harm the china in any way and after the candles has burned down can be kept and used as teacups!)

After all that shopping I had worked up an appetite for something sweet (yes, even after the full-size portion of paella only an hour previously) and felt I had fully deserved it...!!

who can resist a double-choc muffin??
