A Vintage Crate   +  strange

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

Honestly, this was a strange movie... and there was a lot that I didn't get... BUT, it was beautiful! The imagery was other worldly and that of dreams. The story was not bad, it just was hard to follow... which may mean bad script writing, not sure.

This was Heath's last film... but don't get your hopes up. His performance is nothing compared to the far superior portrayal of the Joker in The Dark Knight. I did enjoy watching Jude Law, Johnny Depp, and Colin Ferrell play aspects of the same character... it added comic relief and an interesting story twist to this character.

Christopher Plummer's character makes some deals with the Devil that should not have been made. Those wagers come back to haunt him and his daughter, and their traveling show of misfits. That is until the hanging man, Tony, comes along to change the path!

Entertaining, hard to understand, yet still enjoyable... The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassas out on DVD!
